I don’t normally post posts about posts, but I’m a bit excited about what I just read. Just read Jonathan Merritt’s interview with Brett McCracken posted today at RNS. Jonathan brought McCracken in to talk about his new book Grey Matters. I haven’t had a chance to read the book yet, but based on Merritt’s interview with Brett I’m pretty pumped about it. It’s refreshing to actually read something that resonates with one’s faith these days. So many bloggers and writers are just throwing stuff out there to get a reaction or cause a stir, but McCracken’s answers to Jonathan’s well crafted questions were a slow drink of cold water to my parched palate. I’ve interacted with Brett on Twitter a few times but I’ve never given his books a second thought…..that will now change. Grey Matters has now landed on the “soon” side of my reading list. If you get to the book before I do, let me know what you think about it. I’m thinking it is going to fit well with the ethos and vision that we are trying to equip our students with at Bryan College.
